Photographs and artworks by Suzanne
Local Lake Beeac in beautiful south-west, Victoria. My regular drive by the lake provides so many moments of joy and exhalations.
Painting some textures of Orange and Reds helped me pass the time during Lockdown 2021.
And Blues – never gets old and goes with everything.
Meditating in nature is great, but meditation wherever we are is the greatest.
But, hey, if we can…. a once in a lifetime dream of mine was to meditate in the Korean mountains. A train and very windy trip by bus got me there late, much to the annoyance of the not so-Zen head monk who greeted us on arrival. Still, the photos are as serene as it was.
Pinks also go with everything and I enjoy painting things in pairs, to compliment and connect with each other.
Lake Purrumbete and Lake Corangamite, in the gorgeous lake districts of south-west Victoria. Plus human and whippet.
Greys or grays? I love them, especially as they appear down at local Lake Beeac. Grey is often under-estimated, so I stopped painting and left these ones to dry as they are (not knowing when to stop when painting is an ongoing lesson).
More places, spaces and sounds to meditate by.
Workshop time, pastels, equipment, prompts, time and space to play.
Same place, different seasons. In the Otways, Victoria.
My old concrete water tank and lavender. Blues and shimmers from acrylic paint that kinda remind me of concrete – another under-rated substance and texture.
Squiggles I started with clients, as a response to themes. Completed after session and provided to clients for further explorations.
Life is short, art is long and framing matters.
Japan. Zen. Framing. Green. Aesthetics are Life. Many of the photos on this website are from my 2018 trip to Japan.
